CASA Style Desktop Calculator - Aurora DT210

As provided by ASL for CASA Flight Crew Examinations.

We strongly recommend the use of an Aurora DT210 calculator for theory study purposes, as you are not permitted to take your own calculator into the examination and will be provided with the Aurora DT210. During your theory course you will develop calculator motor skills and a change in the calculator layout on exam day can cause unnecessary delay.

APR CR-6 Flight Computer

The CR Computer has been a favorite of professional pilots, navigators, and flight engineers for approximately 20 years. The Aero Products Research APR CR-6 is comparable to Jeppesen CR-3 computer. Made with PVC Plastic 6" Diameter.

Many of the scales on the calculator side are similar to those found on the E6-B. However, the CR has several functions available on no other computer, making it the most useful instrument for modern piloting needs.

The wind side of the CR uses a wind triangle that is somewhat different than the E6-B and it provides quick, simplified solutions to all course navigation problems.

APR E6-B9WHL Flight Computer

The Aero Products Research APR E6-B9 Universal Wind Triangle & T/S/D Navigation Computer has been upgraded to E6-B9WHL with the new, exclusive Windspeed Cursor Arm for low and high speeds. This Cursor Arm quickly shows groundspeed, wind correction angle, and heading. This revolutionary design eliminates two set-ups and the need to mark a dot on the plastic disc.

The new APR Windspeed Cursor Arm makes solving wind problems a breeze. Simply set your true course, rotate cursor arm to wind direction, and read the wind correction angle and groundspeed. Instructions for Windspeed Cursor set-up are printed at the top of the low speed wind slide.

The E6-B9WHL Time/Speed/Distance computer solves all major navigation computations and calculates necessary flight planning and en route navigation requirements.

Fuel consumption solutions, density altitude factors, conversions for true airspeed & altitude, Mach number, kilometers, minutes to seconds, statute to nautical to statute miles, off-course and drift corrections, and slide-rule mathematics are quickly determined. The unit has write-in TC to CH boxes.

The low speed wind slide shows speeds of 40 to 270 knots or miles. Instructions and user-friendly scales printed on the T/S/D computer make learning faster and easier and allow for more accurate reading. The low speed (40 to 270 knots or miles) slide has instructions to solve for wind correction angle, ground speed, and headings while the high speed (100 to 820 knots or miles) side of the slide shows a compressibility F factors scale, headwind and crosswind component grid that depicts relative wind angle, and nautical and Statute rulers for Sectional and WAC charts are printed on the sides of the slide.

Jeppesen JE6B Slide Navigation Computer

Slide graphic computer for reading ground speed and wind correction angle.

The flight computer has two sides, the calculator side is used to work problems involving time, distance, speed, fuel consumption, true airspeed, nautical to statute conversion, off course, altitude, and multiplications and division. The wind side is used to determine the effect of wind on the aircraft. Ground speed, true heading, and unknown wind are solved on this side of the computer.
